I was introduced to printmaking at art college and loved exploring how to use different processes to develop my drawings of birds and animals. Since moving to West Wales nearly 40 years ago I have gained great inspiration from the wildlife and countryside and feel very fortunate to live in such beautiful surroundings.
I make limited editions of original prints using an etching press in my studio at home. This enables me to do both relief and intaglio prints including linocut, woodcut, monotype, collagraph, drypoint and etching. I try to use the qualities of each process to express the characteristics and vitality of the particular subject and to capture movement, form and colour.
I am a member of Tywi Printmakers and exhibit at Art At The Hall in Llangathen as well as having my work on permanent display in Crafts Alive. I have also exhibited in Mid Wales Art Centre and have had a solo exhibition in the Wildlife and Wetlands centre in Llanelli.
